We often get interesting birds visiting the garden. I try and get photos, but find it extremely difficult to get a half decent shot. At the moment starlings are most active. These birds are robust and not too shy. They have been digging up the grass looking for worms.

Thanks, Roxanne, they are nice and cheerful birds, although some people consider them to be pests.

Don't worry, Suzanne, these birds are not going to wait for a cat to catch them.

They are classed as a pest over here. But I don't grow vegetables so they don't worry me. On the Farms they could be a problem. We have black birds over here & wattle birds. They are probably know by other names. xx

Trish, I think wattle birds are Australian special. They don't live anywhere else. I googled them and they seem quite similar in appearance to starlings.
