We have had nothing but rain for about a week now. Quite a change after our hot dry summer last year. I have been thinking about Earl Grey, wondering if he was hiding somewhere keeping dry.

And later in the afternoon he did appear looking only slightly dishevelled. He ate his fill and looked around. Didn't even spray. I was hoping he would settle down, dry himself off and rest in the conservatory, but he stoically went out again into the rain.

I feel sorry for him, although he isn't in any danger. The weather is warm enough and no doubt has his hiding places. Still, he seems so lonesome and brave. I know it's the way of the tom cats, but it breaks my hart. I wish he would tame down a little.

He is big, but don't think he would tolerate any hugs.

From his point of view visiting your conservatory is already a huge compromise between wilde and tame life.

Yes, you are right, Carol. I mustn't expect too much.

He is beautiful, beautiful . Do not seem to be afraid of your animals. So I think with patience that you will manage to tame it. I'm sure he needs hugs . PS: for rain no worries for 15 days it's the same here pffffff .

I really hope that a bit of your rain would come to us. It`s too hot here. But Earl Grey is very attractive. I like him.

I only wish ti-gris was more like earl grey as there would be hope..earl grey comes to your home in daylight, ti-gris only late at night....Earl grey enters the conservatory, ti-gris does not even come in the basement window where he lived before..Earl grey keeps eating, knowing there are cats around, ti-gris hides under the vehicle...marta, earl grey is not that wild so there is hope and time will turn this cat into a civilized feline, yet

I hope you are right, Suzanne. Aggie is an obstacle though. She would go mad if she saw him. Luckily she doesn't usually notice him creeping around the back of the house.

lets hope aggie continues to be oblivious to his presence..hehe

Earl Grey is streetwise & used to living as a stray so I'm sure he is keeping dry somewhere. We've had rain too but not for a week. Supposed to be a fairly dry winter, so I hear.

with us so hot and the sun is so strong that cats do not want to go out. I'd love Earl to find a home in your family
