I have been throwing my money around and bought a new Sony Xperia Z4 tablet. It's just an upgrade of my existing Z2 tablet. I looked around, but decided that it was still the best tablet for me. The old tablet is 5 years old and largely still works, only certain things have mysteriously stopped working. The frame is starting to become loose, but not badly so.

After some umming and arring I did buy a new version. All the instructions were in all the world languages, except the ones I speak myself. Apart from this small detail and the plug being a foreign design, the tablet is rather good. It's slimmer and more powerful than the old one. All I have to do now, is install my favourite apps and copy some files. That should keep me busy at the weekend.

You are lucky to have any instructions at all - recently, no matter what kind of device i buy, be it even a vacuum, i am told that instructions are to be found in internet! Very helpful for people who don't have or can't use internet, and there are still many of them (the elderly). My new smartphone (still haven't learnt to use most of its features) is also an upgraded version of that of my husband, but - unfortunately - it is bigger and heavier than the older version - when in my handbag i feel if I had a kg of patatoes in it and it is too big for my pockets.

Documents on the internet really is one of the silliest inventions.

Because people are silly. I had a proof of it one day two years ago. Went to the bank where we have a safe - to keep important documents like house ownership papers and so on - in case the house would burn, for example. We had to wait a bit, the a clerc came and while going down with us told us that most of the safes are empty now, for people prefer to keep their documents in internet. 't even imagine such a thing - while buying or paying everybody has to hand out real papers, not to mention the case when there is no el.power and nothing works- not even banks. And to keep important date for all to see...?!

My husband ♥* bought me a tablet too that stays in the cabinet because I never use. My mobile phone too complicated for me just to call, receive a call, receive messages and especially take photos and videos of my animals. Internet to come here of course and from time to time see something I need. I am also a lot "old fashioned" so paper. No bills or confidential paper on the internet .... nothing like a bank. In short I am an "old" from another world who was wonderful in the past .

If I bought one of those here, I'd have to live on bread & water for a year. They are very expensive where I live, except for those well off. I'm dreading when my very old PC finally "passes on." I might not be able to replace it. Have fun Marta.

Oh they are really weird with those instructions... We have had situations when not finding an instruction in any language we can understand...
