I was the only pedigree dog my mum ever had. After Chester passed away, having had a working collie, she just wanted to see, how pedigree border collies were different from working ones. Well, I had a quieter temperament and was prettier. Some people said I was a dope, but I really just was incredibly trusting. I was not as athletic as Chester, but I was kind of soppy and endearing in my own way. Keira was my constant companion all of my life and we had never been separated. She always looked after me. After she went to heaven at the age of 17, I could not bear being without her, and I followed her just a few weeks later, at the age of 14.
My one claim to fame is that I got involved in a fight with a police dog. How many pooches can say that? Mum used to meet up with a police dog trainer on our walks. They were standing and chatting while the police dog sat at the trainers side. I had never been involved in any doggy squabbles before and the police dog was assumed to be well behaved, so nobody paid too much attention to me. I started circling around the three of them in the manner of a sheepdog circling the sheep. After a while the police dog could stand it no longer and broke his sit. He pounced on me squishing me to the ground and bit me in the back side. His trainer was terribly embarrased and moved to separate us, but there was no need. I submitted immediatelly and the other dog moved off by himself. He was at least three times my size I tell you!
I also get called Collie Wally, Colin Down. I like... to look after our cats, watch them and pretend they were a flock of sheep.... dislike getting into water or even getting my feet muddy and wet.... I enjoy playing with squeaky toys, ball, but not really playfull when grown up and eating meat and wholewheat...
I am special because... i was a loving and trusting companion and friend.
