I am reasonably happy about the approach to AI pictures I outlined previously:

AI‑enhanced real photos will be classified as unedited photos,
fully AI‑generated images will be classified as edited photos.

What about the Best Photo Competition. What is a "good" photo? With AI it's much easier to create nicer pictures with AI‑assisted polish.

The way forward is to focus on

• observed
• captured
• lived
• authentic

rather than

• constructed
• directed
• curated
• synthetic

A good photo should have

• natural expression
• spontaneous behaviour
• real personality

rather than

• perfect lighting
• perfect composition
• perfect staging

Authenticity, personality, spontaneity, humour, emotion, timing, natural expression or activity is what we are looking for.
